Can I cancel my subscription?

You may cancel your subscription one (1) business day or more before the next subscription due date by sending an email to SkateLoveConnection@SkateLoveConnection.com. Once you cancel a subscription, you won’t be charged for future subscription fees. Past subscription fees won’t be refunded.

Is my credit card information secure?

Skate Love connection does not retain credit card information on our site. Your card information is handled by an experienced card processing companies who specialize in handling card information securely.

How does the Chatroom work?

ACCESS THE CHATROOM
-Sign-in to Skate Love Connection
-Click MY ACCOUNT in the Menu
-Click the MESSAGES button
USING THE CHATROOM
The chatroom allows you to message people you are in contact with. On the left-hand side of the Chatroom is a list of Members who have sent or received messages from you. Those Members who are Live online will have a green dot next to their name:
-Click a Member in the list
-Click in the “Type a message…” box to type
-When done hit the <ENTER> key to send your message
When you would like to leave the Chatroom click the DASHBOARD button to return to the MY ACCOUNT dashboard.

MEET IN A PUBLIC PLACE
Avoid meeting someone in a private location such as a home or apartment for your first date. Don’t feel obligated to travel a significant distance and set your meeting location up ahead of time. Select a time of day to meet that you are most comfortable with. Be sure to be responsible for your own transportation as well, so you are able to leave at any point if you feel uncomfortable.
KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR DRINK
If you meet your date in person at a restaurant or bar, be sure to keep a close eye on your drink. This will help prevent someone from spiking it or putting drugs or alcohol in your cup without you knowing. You can also cover your drink with a napkin. If you suspect someone put something in your drink, you should immediately tell someone, such as the bartender or waitress.
WAIT TO SHARE PERSONAL INFORMATION
Always protect yourself or your identity when dating online. Personal information can include your social security number, credit card details, bank information, and your work or home address. If some asks for money even after you’ve been speaking to them for a long time, do not feel obligated to give it to them. It still may be a scam.
TELL A FRIEND WHERE YOU ARE GOING
Take a screen shoot of your date’s profile and send it to your friend. You can also share the location of the date with your friend so someone else knows where you are. 
BLOCK AND REPORT SUSPICIOUS USERS It is always possible for people to misrepresent themselves. If you feel a user is suspicious, you can block them before or after you’ve matched. [Email SkateLoveConnection@SkateLoveConnection.com for help with this.]
TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS: If at any point you don’t feel safe during your date, trust your instincts and feel free to cut communication with whoever is making you feel unsafe. . .

What do I do if I forgot my password?

-Click SignIn
-Under the SIGNIN box click the “Lost password?” link
-Enter your account user name or your email address in the box
-Click CONTINUE
-Check your email inbox for a message from the site
-Follow the prompts in that email message

What are some pointers to getting started?

1) Think of what you want to say to your future date about yourself. Give it some real thought. Be sure to include interesting things about you and your experience skating. Write it down. This will become your profile DESCRIPTION.
2) Next, create a profile. Click the ADD PROFILE button seen on the top menu and elsewhere on the HOME page.
3) Fill-in the Profile giving as much information as you would like. The more info, however, the more appealing you become to your prospective dates. Be sure to include as many photos as you can.
4) Choose your Membership.
5) Click the SEARCH button in the Menu to find profiles that are appealing to you.
6) Enjoy the site!

How do I find people I would like to date?

After you have signed in, click the SEARCH menu button to take you to the search page. Click SEARCH PROFILES to find skaters who you would like to date. You can enter a FEATURES to find specific items or click on one or more of the categories to match what you are looking for. For example, Females with Brown eyes.

Can I change my password?

-Sign-In to the Site
-Click MY ACCOUNT on the menu at the top
-Click the SETTINGS button
-Click PASSWORDS
-Type the new password in the box
-Re-type the new password in the next box
